Moses - the Friend of God

DAY 4 OF 4

You Could Be the Answer to Someone’s Prayer!

Exodus 3:1 Moses was taking care of the flock of his father-in-law Jethro. Jethro was the priest of Midian. Moses led the flock to the western side of the desert. He came to Horeb. It was the mountain of God. (NIrV)

Yesterday, we saw that the LORD heard the prayers of the people of Israel and was concerned for them. In the next chapter, we are transported to the desert and Moses. We know this now, but no one would have guessed back then that Moses was an answer to their prayers.

The older I get, the more I hear people say to me that I am an answer to their prayers. What is even more fascinating for me, is this sentence is often coupled with something that I have been praying about that seems outside of the box, maybe too big or the wrong thing to be praying about. It’s in these moments that I am reminded not only that God hears our prayers but that he also grants us the desires of our hearts.

His plans are greater than what we can ever think of. What we think are our own thoughts and plans may be far bigger than us and intertwined and connected to the people all around us.

As you go about your day, remember that you could be the answer to someone’s prayer!
