Who Am I? Finding Myself in the Fullness of Christ: A Study in Ephesians 1-2Sample

Who Am I? Finding Myself in the Fullness of Christ: A Study in Ephesians 1-2

DAY 4 OF 6

DEATH TO LIFE

After reading these ten verses, close your eyes and listen to them. Picture a dead man walking in sin. Picture the incredible transformation of coming alive in Christ. The mercy and love of God are astonishingly good news! For we were all dead men walking, but now we are alive. And what does this life mean?

Well, start in verses 8-10. If this life is a gift given by a gracious God, what does that mean? Who are you, and what is the meaning of your life? Look again, understanding begins here in these truths Paul writes for all believers.

Ask Yourself: What does it mean for my identity that I am created by God? What does it mean for my identity and calling that He has given me life? What does it mean for my calling that He has prepared good words for me?

Pause to Pray: Praise God, for whoever you once were, you are no more. Praise Him for the life He has given you. Ask Him to open your eyes to see the good works He has prepared for you.

Take a Next Step: Once again, pull out your journal. How do today’s truths inform who you want to be?
