Let Your Light So Shine

“Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.” Matthew‬ ‭5‬:‭16‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Let your light so shine before men. According to Strong’s Concordance, the Greek word for “Light” used in Matthew‬ ‭5‬:‭16‬ ‭‭KJV‬‬‬‬ is, ‘phōs’ (G5457) which means, “The light, emitted by a lamp, a heavenly light such as surrounds angels when they appear on earth.”

Let your light so shine before men. Let the light that God has given you, shine before men. Let your gifts, talents, and abilities shine. Let your light shine in the workplace. Let your light shine in business. May you shine in government. May you shine in your community. May you shine in your family. May your light shine upon everything that you set your hands to do. May your light shine in everything that you both say and do.

The Amplified Version puts it this way, “Let your light so shine before men that they may see your moral excellence and your praiseworthy, noble, and good deeds and recognize and honor and praise and glorify your Father Who is in heaven.” Matthew‬ ‭5‬:‭16‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

Let your light and moral excellence shine before men. Let your character and integrity shine before men. May your praiseworthy, noble, and good deeds glorify your Father in Heaven. Let your light shine.

God has set you on a light stand for the world to see what He has your placed in you. May your gifts shine before men. May your talents shine. May your vision and dreams shine before men. May you write and execute upon the vision that God has given you and make it plain before men.
