30 Day Challenge for Positive Living

DAY 3 OF 30

WAIT UPON THE LORD AND BELIEVE UNEXPECTED HOPE WILL COME.

I had new hope as I waited for the Lord to heal me. I was in pain because I had strained my knee playing tennis, which was excruciating and uncomfortable. Instead of worrying, I started praying for healing with anticipated hope believing that God would bring the healing I prayed to receive. Even though I was in pain and did not understand why it was taking so long, I knew God had promised to heal me. It is hard to be patient, but I was sure that this little sacrifice of waiting was nothing in comparison to what Jesus had sacrificed for me. My Savior had sacrificed all for me! He carried my sins, suffered, and died so that I could be free. This truth became the unexpected hope I needed as I waited for healing.

Do you feel His love as you ponder all Jesus has done for you? Do you believe you are worthy? Know for certain that your Savior loves you. He died to set you free! Make the choice to live with hope in the depths of your soul as you let Jesus live in you. Find joy as you wait. Be patient as He answers your prayers in His timing. There is joy and hope in the journey with Jesus, even in life’s waiting room.

PRAYER

Dear Lord, I will keep you close at heart so you can flood my heart and soul with your Spirit. You have chosen me to accomplish much for you and your kingdom, so I will wait patiently for You. I will stay the course and persevere with hope through it all with Your hand upon me. In Jesus’ name, Amen

PRAISE

Thank God that Jesus Christ will give you more than you can ever dream or imagine when you wait upon Him and hope in His Word!

PROMISE

“I wait for the Lord, my soul waits, and in his word I hope.” Psalm 130:5
