Daily Prayers for My Husband

DAY 21 OF 21

ALL OF YOU

Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. DEUTERONOMY 6:5

As we come to the close of this devotional journey, remember that love is ultimately what will anchor you to both your Savior and your husband. You will be presented with so many things to love in life: your children, your friendships, your collectibles, your clothes, your appearance. There will be no shortage of people and objects to give your love to. But early in Scripture, God reminds us that we ultimately will find the most joy‑filled, purpose‑filled life available if we offer all our love to God. As we learn to love God with unrelenting tenacity, God will reveal to us how to love others in this same way. He will transform our desires and our sinful natures. He will cleanse us and make us the people He desires us to be. Continue to anchor yourself to the ultimate example of love: a God who sent His own Son for you. As you continue this journey with your husband, remember that this Source of love will be the most satisfying love you have to offer. Love God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your strength.

Lord, You are a good, good God. Thank You for loving me in a way that I do not deserve. I pray today, Lord, that You would help my husband feel Your love. Help him to experience the overwhelming goodness of Your presence in his life. Help him to love You without hindrance or distraction. Help him to find satisfaction in You and be tethered to Your love and Your purpose for his life. Thank You for the gift of marriage and that You constantly use it to make me more holy. Thank You for the process of becoming more like You and for the gift of getting to love my husband so deeply. THANK YOU, LORD. AMEN.
