Acting badly
If you were really annoyed with a friend or sibling, would you say or do something mean to them? How do you think that would work out? Would it be a good thing in the long run?
Some of the other scientists in the Snowmoors threw Jefferson in a hole because they thought he was being proud and a little rude. They didn't want to listen to him tell them he was right, so they tried to get rid of him. Do you think their reaction was fair? How helpful was it - for anyone?
Something to think about while you are reading today’s passage:
Joseph's brothers start at murder and finish with abduction - hardly constructive ideas. What can God do with a situation when people are acting badly? Do our choices matter? Was this the best way for God's plan to unfold, or does He work with what we give Him?
