‘… have life.’ There are lots of references to this in the New Testament. But what does it actually mean for us in our daily lives?

It means that even in the middle of life’s storms, we can hold on to God’s promise of inner peace, which in turn will give us the strength to persevere and endure the storm.

It means that in the wilderness seasons of our Christian walk, that His promise to bring life to our walk with Him is a real one that we can hold on to. Indeed, such periods may actually be one of the most enriching seasons in our lives. Why? Because it is only in the wilderness that we can acknowledge our dependence on God and His perfect plan for our lives.

When the Bible talks about having life to the full, it means having a practical faith that is firmly rooted in the Word and not swayed by the latest fads in Christian teaching (or publishing, for that matter), for that is one of the best ways to live the life that God intended for us, to the full.
