The Vision Led Life

DAY 4 OF 5

Vision Brings Faith In Place Of Caution

When Jesus declared He must be about His Father’s business, He was setting a course that would ultimately lead him to Gethsemane and then Calvary.

Even as a 12-year-old, Jesus knew His was not a path of ease or comfort.

Jesus and His parents were at the Passover Feast, which prefigured and represented the ultimate Passover Lamb, Jesus Himself, who would be slain.

Everything about the Passover Feast pointed to Jesus, and the sacrificial death He would die for sinners 21 years later.

Doing the Father’s business was not the safe option; it was a commitment to embracing risk, sacrifice, and calling.

How quickly we’ve fallen in love with the illusion of safety.

What a timid world we’ve become, looking for safety to continue living in comfort and ease.

If we’re not aware, caution and safety will become the operating system of our minds and keep us from a life of faith.

In scripture, the one thing that God promises to reward is faith.

Stepping forward in faith unleashes worlds of possibility and paves the way for destiny.

Jesus modeled that the Father’s business requires risk and sacrifice, paying the price, doing whatever it takes.

Are you willing to trade caution for faith?
