Thrive: A Journey Through the Psalms

DAY 26 OF 28

How to Start an Avalanche of Blessing

When we fix our heart on God's heart, we gain His perspective, receive His love and realize our security is in Him. Whatever "news" may come, God will not change. He is always faithful and always good. When we anchor our heart into His heart, our source of light and peace becomes Him, not the circumstances around us.

Even when we can't see a way forward, God will provide. No fear can grow in His presence. No anxiety or doubt can sustain itself when saturated in His love. God has made us righteous, which means we are standing right beside Him.

When love, adoration, and delightful obedience become our way of life, it changes everything. Duty is commendable; devotion is combustible. When we invite the fire of God's love into our hearts, it changes the atmosphere within us and around us and takes us into new dimensions of life with God.

The more we know His heart, the more we can give out of the abundance of our hearts. Whether it be finances, compassion, or wisdom, there is always enough when we connect to His heart. From Him flows the fullness of life through us to others. We are not just giving from what "we have"; we give from what HE has, abundantly more than we can ask.

Daily Challenge:

What do you think is the difference between obedience out of duty or obedience out of delight? What are some areas in your life that you know your perspective and God's perspective are different?

Prayer:

Wonderful Lord Jesus, I want to fall in love with you afresh today.  Please help me to delight in following your way. Help my heart not to get distracted from simply loving you and giving you my all each day. Thank you that as I love you, not only am I changed, but my family and those around me will experience transformation because of the impact your love has upon my life.
