The World Needs JESUS PEOPLE

Let it be known

Let’s start living like we’ve been set free

There’s a broken world that needs to see

Jesus people 

Many have tried, to put out the fire 

But it strengthens our faith 

We pray to be bold and unstoppable 

To live unashamed 

We’re billions of hearts, lights in the dark

We’re never fading out

If the nails in His hands could not stop Him then

Nothing’s ever gonna stop us now

“You are the light of the world—like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden (Matthew 5:14 NLT).”

Now more than ever, we are living in a world that desperately needs the light of God’s truth. In the midst of so much uncertainty, we have a choice. We can yield to doubt, allowing disappointments to open the door for darkness to grow in our own hearts. Or, we can cry out in the midst of our pain, asking God to provide the strength we need to carry light and hope to those who are searching for it.

Remind yourself today that because of God’s great love for us, we are not consumed (Lamentations 3:22). Through the blood of Christ, God wiped our sins away and “raised us up with Christ and seated us with Him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, in order that in the coming ages He might display the surpassing riches of His grace, demonstrated by His kindness to us in Christ Jesus." (Ephesians 2:6-7). This same Spirit that raised Christ from the dead now lives in us (Romans 8:11).

Paul reveals that Christ in us is the key to living victoriously. “I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me (Galatians 2:20).” On our own, we can do nothing, but with Christ living in us we can do all things (Philippians 4:13). He “is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us" (Ephesians 3:20 NASB). And “because you belong to him, the power of the life-giving Spirit has freed you from the power of sin that leads to death" (Romans 8:2 NLT). 

Through Him, we have been blessed with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms (Ephesians 1:3 NLT). Strength, courage, confidence, forgiveness, faith, hope, love and all the other fruits of the Spirit are all ours for the taking. It’s time to start living like the free, Jesus People that we are!
