"Be Free, Free From Worry, Free From Fear"
There is a lot to absorb in the previous day’s plan. What about just the first line? “The spirit within you is created to be free, free from worry, free from fear.”
What if you let these words penetrate your heart now?
Just the first four words can fill us with wonder: “The spirit within you…” For often, when we are filled with fear or overcome with worry, it is because we are convinced we are alone—alone in our problems. Who is here to help?
We invite you to find a comfortable position and close your eyes now. Offer to God your imagination, your attention—your thoughts and ideas and words. Ask Him to show you a picture of that spirit within you, a spirit within you created to “be free, free from worry, free from fear.” Stay here for a while, letting your mind rest on this truth—the reality that you are not alone but that God’s Spirit fills you now, right now.
Holy Spirit, help us to notice You, hear You, feel You, be present with You. We need You now. Amen.
