- The second principle is this: God’s purpose will prevail, so seek His purpose and plan.
When I was 25, I started a car rental agency for the purpose of making a lot of money. I had a plan, but I never even considered consulting with God for His plan.
Years later, it’s evident that God’s purpose for that season in my life was to prepare me with hard lessons that can help others not make the same mistakes I did.
Proverbs 19:21 teaches, "Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails."
You’re paddling upstream if you think you can overcome God’s purpose. You’re better off seeking His purpose from the very beginning.
