The 8 Blessed Steps to Start a New Life

DAY 5 OF 8

Christ Paid All Karmic Debts and All Sin Problem Solved

When the Lord Jesus came into this world, he lived only 33 years, yet he did only about 3 years of public ministry; and the most significant in his 3 years of public ministry was his last 3 days on earth. He died but rose again. His death was a payment for our sins. God’s Son—Lord Jesus—paid the price of sinners— us—on the cross (1 Cor. 6:20, Romans 5:8).

On the cross, Lord Jesus paid all our karmic debts once and for all. Therefore, it was a ransom payment and payment of all karmic debts of our sins (1 Timothy 2:6). All sin problems have been solved, and we are set free as the sinless person took the place of punishment for our sake.

The cross symbolizes the unconditional and perfect love of God. Instead of asking us to pay the price of our sins on our own, Christ bore our sins in his body on the cross (1 Peter 2:24). Even if we had to pay by ourselves, it will not be effective as it is the offering of the blood of another sinner. The only sinless human being ever born was Christ. Only his bodily sacrifice satisfied the justice system of God, and we are set free as he had paid for our sins. If we had to pay the price of our sins, the only payment we could give was death and hell forever.

Christ’s death was a miracle of redemption of mankind. He redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, for it is written: “Cursed is everyone who is hung on a pole.” (Galatians 3:13).

The blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin (1 John 1:7).

Prayer:

Thank you, Lord Jesus, for paying for all my sins on the cross. You were mocked, humiliated, flogged, tortured, and beaten to death on the cross for my sins. Lord, I am so thankful and grateful to you for your sacrifice for me. I believe that your death was not in vain. Your death on the cross was a payment for my sin and the sins of the world. Thank you so much. May I never take your sufferings and death for granted. I believe you, and I thank you. In your precious name I pray. Amen.
