When it comes to renewing your mind, think of God's word as a seed. This is the best seed that money can buy. However, the crop yielded from that seed will depend upon the quality of the soil in which it is planted.
Because you want God's word to yield maximum results, it is wise to prepare your heart with prayer before every Bible study session.
Ask the Lord to bring understanding to His word. Ask Him for perseverance to continue your study so that His word takes root within you, even in the midst of trials. Be diligent in casting all your cares upon God in prayer. In that way, you can seek His kingdom first, knowing that He will take care of your other needs.
