Weird question for you: If you had to have surgery, would you want your best friend doing the surgery or a trained surgeon? A trained surgeon, of course! Nobody wants to put their lives in the hands of someone who doesn’t really know what to do. 

In a way though, sometimes we do this in our everyday lives. If we’re honest with ourselves, sometimes we put our choices or decisions in the hands of those who aren’t wise enough to guide us. 

This verse reminds us that it’s the godly who can offer good counsel and help us see right from wrong. Those are the people we should turn to for wisdom when we need it.
