Giving generously usually makes us feel one of two ways: like we’re losing something or like we’re gaining something. The difference is all in our perspective. When it feels like losing, it’s because we’re only looking at what we had to give up. But when we focus on the impact our gifts can make, it means we’re gaining joy in our lives. Giving to others can bring us tons of joy when we give with a cheerful heart! So this week, try developing that cheerful heart by practicing generosity. Find a way to give your time, money, possessions, or whatever you have to offer to someone in need. And as you do, ask God to help you focus on the joy you’re gaining by giving.
