The call of Abram
“The Lord had said to Abram, “Go from your country, your people and your father’s household to the land I will show you. (Genesis 12:1)
God commanded Abram to leave his country and relatives to go to the land that God would show to him. Abram followed God’s command, then in the midst of his journey God showed him the land that He would give to his descendants. It takes courage to step outside of where we are right now, and follow God’s command even though sometimes we still can’t clearly see God’s promises.
