Proverbs 18
18
1#Jude 1:19He who separates himself seeks his own desire;
he seeks and quarrels against all wisdom.
2A fool has no delight in understanding,
but in expressing his own heart.
3When the wicked comes, then comes also contempt,
and with dishonor reproach.
4#Pr 20:5 The words of a man’s mouth are as deep waters,
and the wellspring of wisdom as a flowing brook.
5#Lev 19:15; Pr 24:23 It is not good to favor the wicked,
or to turn aside the righteous in judgment.
6A fool’s lips enter into contention,
and his mouth calls for flogging.

and keeps the mighty ones apart.
19A brother offended is harder to be won than a strong city,
and their contentions are like the bars of a castle.
20A man’s stomach will be satisfied with the fruit of his mouth;
and with the increase of his lips will he be filled.
21Death and life are in the power of the tongue,
and those who love it will eat its fruit.

and obtains favor of the Lord.

but the rich man answers roughly.
