Konzo

Lhukonzo

The Lhukonzo language also called Konjo, luKonjo, oluKonjo, Olhukonzo, luKonzo or Konzo. It is spoken in the Kasese District of Uganda, and in parts of the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Gospel of Mark

The first part of the Bible in luKonzo was the Gospel of Mark, translated by Walter Edwin Owen (1879-1945) and published as: Enjiri Nkokuyahandikawa Marako. It was published by the British and Foreign Bible Society (BFBS) in 1914.

Luke 15

In 1978 there was a joint project to translate a part of the New Testament into luKonzo. This resulted in Luke 15 being published as a booklet called: Nyamuhanga Akatsangira Oyukatsira. It was printed by Voice of Uganda (Security Printers), in Kampala.

Digital Edition

The luKonzo Luke 15 was digitised with the help of MissionAssist, for the Bible Society of Uganda in 2024. It was digitised using an orginal copy at the Foreign Bible Society (BFBS) archives at Cambridge University in England.
