6 Days To Becoming A Kingdom DiscipleНамуна
Once, a little boy was told by his father to plow the field. He went out on the plow and when Daddy came out, he saw that the plow had gone all over the place, chopping the field all up. He said, “What did you do?”
The boy replied, “I plowed the field.”
The father said, “But look at the mess you made. Because you looked all over the place and not at the field, the lines you plowed are crooked.”
A lot of our lives are like that. We’re all over the place. We don’t have a straight line toward a common goal exercising God’s authority in our lives. We’re just looking at what others say, what the culture says, and we’re wandering all over the place. We need to follow the instruction the Lord gave to Joshua. Paraphrased, He said, “Don’t turn to the left or the right, because you will mess things up. Stay within the boundaries of my instruction and My Word, and then you will experience My blessing everywhere you put your foot down.”
Being a follower means recognizing and submitting to God’s authority. His way is perfect, so to not follow Him would be a gross error in judgment. Fortunately, He has provided us with that same authority to complete our task of the Great Commission here on earth. In other words, by submitting to His authority, we get to operate in His authority.

About this Plan
A disciple in the kingdom of God is one who chooses to be more than just a fan of Jesus Christ. They commit themselves to taking up their cross, denying themselves, and following Him. This commitment is not an easy one and it is not a short one, but it is rich with God’s reward. Join Tony Evans as he uncovers what it means to follow Jesus, no turning back.
