Soften up, GOD, and intervene; hurry and get me some help, So those who are trying to kidnap my soul will be embarrassed and lose face, So anyone who gets a kick out of making me miserable will be heckled and disgraced, So those who pray for my ruin will be booed and jeered without mercy.

Let them be desolate for a reward of their shame That say unto me, Aha, aha.

Let those be appalled because of their shame Who say to me, “Aha, aha!”

People are making fun of me. Let them be shamed into silence.

Let them be desolate by reason of their shame That say unto me, Aha, aha.

May those who say to me, “Aha! Aha!” be appalled at their own shame.

Let them be confounded because of their shame, Who say to me, “Aha, aha!”

Let those be appalled and desolate because of their shame Who say to me, “Aha, aha [rejoicing in my misfortune]!”

Let them be horrified by their shame, for they said, “Aha! We’ve got him now!”

Scoff at every scoffer and cause them all to be utter failures. Let them be ashamed and horrified by their complete defeat.

Let those be appalled because of their shame who say to me, “Aha, Aha!”
