2 Corinthians 10:13
2 Corinthians 10:13 New Living Translation (NLT)
We will not boast about things done outside our area of authority. We will boast only about what has happened within the boundaries of the work God has given us, which includes our working with you.
2 Corinthians 10:13-14 The Message (MSG)
We aren’t making outrageous claims here. We’re sticking to the limits of what God has set for us. But there can be no question that those limits reach to and include you. We’re not moving into someone else’s “territory.” We were already there with you, weren’t we? We were the first ones to get there with the Message of Christ, right? So how can there be any question of overstepping our bounds by writing or visiting you?
2 Corinthians 10:13 King James Version (KJV)
But we will not boast of things without our measure, but according to the measure of the rule which God hath distributed to us, a measure to reach even unto you.
2 Corinthians 10:13 New American Standard Bible - NASB 1995 (NASB1995)
But we will not boast beyond our measure, but within the measure of the sphere which God apportioned to us as a measure, to reach even as far as you.
2 Corinthians 10:13 New Century Version (NCV)
But we will not brag about things outside the work that was given us to do. We will limit our bragging to the work that God gave us, and this includes our work with you.
2 Corinthians 10:13 American Standard Version (ASV)
But we will not glory beyond our measure, but according to the measure of the province which God apportioned to us as a measure, to reach even unto you.
2 Corinthians 10:13 New International Version (NIV)
We, however, will not boast beyond proper limits, but will confine our boasting to the sphere of service God himself has assigned to us, a sphere that also includes you.
2 Corinthians 10:13 New King James Version (NKJV)
We, however, will not boast beyond measure, but within the limits of the sphere which God appointed us—a sphere which especially includes you.
2 Corinthians 10:13 Amplified Bible (AMP)
We, on the other hand, will not boast beyond our proper limit, but [will keep] within the limits of our commission (territory, authority) which God has granted to us as a measure, which reaches and includes even you.
