When I think about steering through various significant choices, I often find myself looking at Jacob, the son of Isaac and grandson of Abraham. As we read through his life, we see that Jacob came to three major forks in the road. This plan will explore each of those decisive moments in his life and how they apply to us today.

Have you ever wondered about your purpose in this life? Some seek their so-called destiny for a lifetime and never find it, while others seem to embrace a calling in which they find fulfillment.

In this 11-day plan, you will study Genesis 37-50 which will take you through the life of Jacob and his 12 sons who later became the 12 tribes of Israel. These chapters highlight the life of one of those sons, Joseph, and his journey of hardship and forgiveness. We hope you’ll learn the importance of trusting God through difficult times and learning to forgive those who hurt or disappoint you.

Waiting. We all experience seasons of life when we are waiting on something - a spouse, a baby, healing, a job, or for what God has next in your life. We'll study the life of Joseph, a man who was betrayed by his brothers, falsely imprisoned and ultimately saved the nation of Israel during a famine. In the fifth and final part of our Genesis plan, we'll see the story of Joseph and his family come full circle! Read about the amazing saga of Joseph's reunion with his brothers and his father and Jacob's final blessings over his sons. You'll also get to see some beautiful parallels to the gospel of Jesus in these chapters!
