Proverbs 26:24-25
Proverbs 26:24-26 The Message (MSG)
Your enemy shakes hands and greets you like an old friend, all the while plotting against you. When he speaks warmly to you, don’t believe him for a minute; he’s just waiting for the chance to rip you off. No matter how shrewdly he conceals his malice, eventually his evil will be exposed in public.
Proverbs 26:24-25 King James Version (KJV)
He that hateth dissembleth with his lips, And layeth up deceit within him; When he speaketh fair, believe him not: For there are seven abominations in his heart.
Proverbs 26:24-25 New American Standard Bible - NASB 1995 (NASB1995)
He who hates disguises it with his lips, But he lays up deceit in his heart. When he speaks graciously, do not believe him, For there are seven abominations in his heart.
Proverbs 26:24-25 New Century Version (NCV)
Those who hate you may try to fool you with their words, but in their minds they are planning evil. People’s words may be kind, but don’t believe them, because their minds are full of evil thoughts.
Proverbs 26:24-25 American Standard Version (ASV)

Proverbs 26:24-25 Amplified Bible (AMP)
He who hates, disguises it with his lips, But he stores up deceit in his heart. When he speaks graciously and kindly [to conceal his malice], do not trust him, For seven abominations are in his heart.
Proverbs 26:24-25 New Living Translation (NLT)
People may cover their hatred with pleasant words, but they’re deceiving you. They pretend to be kind, but don’t believe them. Their hearts are full of many evils.
Proverbs 26:24-25 The Passion Translation (TPT)
Kind words can be a cover to conceal hatred of others, for hypocrisy loves to hide behind flattery. So don’t be drawn in by the hypocrite, for his gracious speech is a charade, nothing but a masquerade covering his hatred and evil on parade.
