Saka akadana varanda vake gumi akavapa zviuru gumi zvamadhora. Wokutanga akauya kwaari achiti, ‘Changamire pondo yenyu yakabereka dzimwe pondo gumi pamusoro.’ Iye akati kwaari, ‘Hauchionaka muranda wakanaka! Pamusana pokuti wakatendeka muzvinhu zvidikidiki kudai uchatonga maguta gumi.’ Wechipiri akauyawo achiti, ‘Tenzi pondo yenyu yakabereka pondo shanu.’ Iye akati kwaari, ‘Iwewo uchatonga maguta mashanu.’ Mumwe akauya achiti, ‘Tenzi pondo yenyu iyi ini ndakaipfundira muhengechepfu, nokuti ndaikutyai nokuti muri munhu akaomarara. Munonhonga chamusina kuisa pasi, muchikohwa chamusina kudyara.’ Akati kwaari, ‘Ndinokupa mhosva nezvabva mumuromo mako, iwe muranda akaipa. Heya waitoziva zvako kuti ndiri munhu akaomarara anonhonga chaasina kuisa pasi nokukohwa paasina kudyara, ko zvino wakaregererei kuisa mari yangu mubhangi. Pandainge ndauya ndaizoitora yabereka.’ Akati kuna vakanga vakamira pedyo, ‘Mutorerei pondo iyoyo muipe kune ane gumi repondo.’ Vanhu vakati kwaari, ‘Tenzi, inga ane gumi repondo wani.’ Ndinokutaurirai kuti munhu wose anazvo achawedzerwa zvimwe asi uyo asina, kunyange chaanenge anacho achachitorerwa.
