“Nguva yezvakanga zvatsidzirwa Abhurahamu naMwari payakanga yava kusvika, vanhu vakawanda, vakava vazhinji kusvikira pamuka mumwe mambo akanga asingazivi Josefi. Munhu iyeyo akabata rudzi rwedu noujarijari. Akamanikidza madzitateguru edu kuti vayanike vacheche vavo kuti vafe. Panguva iyoyo ndipowo pakaberekwa Mosesi uye akanga akanaka zvikuru kwazvo pana Mwari. Akarerwa kwemwedzi mitatu mumba mababa vake. Paakazoburitswawo panze mukunda waFarao akamutora akamuita wake ndokumurera somwana wake. Mosesi akadzidziswa ungwaru hose hwavaIjipiti uye akanga ane simba mumazwi ake nomuzviito. “Paakanga ava namakore makumi mana, akaita pfungwa yokushanyira hama dzake vaIsiraeri. Paakaona mumwe wavo achiitirwa zvakaipa akadzivirira aiitirwa zvakaipa. Akamutsividzira nokuponda muIjipiti. Mosesi aifunga kuti hama dzake dzainzwisisa kuti Mwari aida kuvanunura nomumaoko ake asi havana kunzwisisa. Ramangwana racho akasvika pane vamwe vairwa. Akada kuvayananisa achiti varume muri hama nehama munoda kukuvadziranei? Asi murume aiitira mumwe zvakaipa akamusairira kurutivi achiti, ‘Ndiani akakuita mambo nomutongi wedu? Asi unoda kundiuraya sokuuraya kwawakaita muIjipiti nezuro?’ Mosesi paakanzwa izvi akatiza. Akagamuchira zvirevo zvipenyu zvokutipa.’ “Madzitateguru edu akaramba kumuteerera vakamusairira kwakadaro. Mwoyo yavo yakanga yadzokera kuIjipiti vachiti kuna Aroni tigadzirire vamwari vokutitungamirira. ZvaMosesiwo uyu akatiburitsa munyika yeIjipiti hatizivi zvakaitika kwaari. Pamazuva iwayo vakaumba mhuru vakapira chibayiro kuchiumbwa chokunamata vachipemberera zvakaitwa namaoko avo. Mwari akavafuratirawo ndokuvati chi mukunamata gurusvusvu romudenga sokunyorwa kwazvakaitwa mubhuku ravaporofita zvichinzi: “ ‘Makambopira kwandiri here mhuka dzakauraiwa kana zvibayiro kwamakore makumi mana amaiva murenje nhaimi vaIsiraeri? Handiti makatakura tendhe raMoreki nenyenyedzi yamwari Refani, zvifananidzo zvamakaumba kuti munamate? Akachengetwa mumba mababa vake kwemwedzi mitatu. Paakasiyiwa kunze, mwanasikana waFaro akamutora akamurera somwanakomana wake. Mozisi akadzidziswa uchenjeri hwose hweIjipiti uye aigona kwazvo kutaura nokuita zvinhu. “Mozisi paakanga ava namakore makumi mana okuberekwa, akafunga zvokundoshanyira hama dzake ivo vaIsraeri. Akaona mumwe wavo achitambudzwa nomuIjipita, saka akasvika akamurwira akatsiva nokuuraya muIjipita uya. Mozisi akafunga kuti vanhu vake vachaziva kuti Mwari ainge achimushandisa kuti avanunure, asi ivo havana kuzviziva. Fume mangwana Mozisi akasvikowana vaIsraeri vaviri vachirwa. Vakagamuchira tabhenakeri, vachitungamirirwa naJoshua, madzibaba edu akauya pamwe chete nayo paya pavakatora nyika kubva kundudzi dzakanga dzadzingwa pamberi pavo naMwari. Tabhenakeri yakagara munyika iyo kusvikira panguva yaDhavhidhi, uyo akaitirwa zvakanaka naMwari uye akakumbira kuti avakire Mwari waJakobho nzvimbo yokugara. Asi Soromoni ndiye akazomuvakira imba. “Kunyange zvakadaro, Wokumusoro-soro haagari mudzimba dzakavakwa navanhu. Mosesi akadzidziswa ungwaru hose hwavaIjipiti uye akanga ane simba mumazwi ake nomuzviito. “Paakanga ava namakore makumi mana, akaita pfungwa yokushanyira hama dzake vaIsiraeri. Paakaona mumwe wavo achiitirwa zvakaipa akadzivirira aiitirwa zvakaipa. Akamutsividzira nokuponda muIjipiti. Mosesi aifunga kuti hama dzake dzainzwisisa kuti Mwari aida kuvanunura nomumaoko ake asi havana kunzwisisa. Ramangwana racho akasvika pane vamwe vairwa. Akada kuvayananisa achiti varume muri hama nehama munoda kukuvadziranei? Asi murume aiitira mumwe zvakaipa akamusairira kurutivi achiti, ‘Ndiani akakuita mambo nomutongi wedu? Tenzi akati kwaari, ‘Bvisa shangu dzako mutsoka dzako nokuti nzvimbo yawakatsika inzvimbo inoera. Ndanyatsoona kutambudzwa kwavanhu vangu vari muIjipiti. Ndanzwa kugomera kwavo; zvino ndaburuka kuzovanunura.
