Bless and affectionately praise the LORD, O my soul, And do not forget any of His benefits

Who forgives all your sins, Who heals all your diseases; Who redeems your life from the pit, Who crowns you [lavishly] with lovingkindness and tender mercy; Who satisfies your years with good things, So that your youth is renewed like the [soaring] eagle. [Is 40:31]

Bless and affectionately praise the LORD, O my soul, And all that is [deep] within me, bless His holy name.

Just as a father loves his children, So the LORD loves those who fear and worship Him [with awe-filled respect and deepest reverence].

As far as the east is from the west, So far has He removed our transgressions from us.

The LORD is merciful and gracious, Slow to anger and abounding in compassion and lovingkindness. [James 5:11]

He has not dealt with us according to our sins [as we deserve], Nor rewarded us [with punishment] according to our wickedness. For as the heavens are high above the earth, So great is His lovingkindness toward those who fear and worship Him [with awe-filled respect and deepest reverence].

¶The LORD has established His throne in the heavens, And His sovereignty rules over all [the universe].
