People who have been hijacked by Jesus have real faces, hands and feet. He instantly turns ordinary people into full-time grace distributors. They cannot help themselves...they just have to guide others into the arms of God. Grace distributors, sharing God’s DNA, want to bring an abrupt end to suffering in the life of everyone they meet. They want to cause grace avalanches, one person at a time. 

Jiffy Lube once used the slogan, “We don’t want to change the world; we only want to change your oil.” We should do the same by extending God’s grace to real people, at the life-changing speed of one person at a time. Forget about changing the world, just have the right impact on that one person next to you. That’s more than enough. 

Grace is a person to person, family to family relationship, interaction and encounter. It is about interacting in the name of Jesus with people who have real names and faces. It’s about being a good infection in their midst. 

When Paul quoted Jesus in Acts 20:35 and said that it’s far better to give than to receive, He shared one of the most powerful principles ever. To give is to be fully alive. To give ourselves unselfishly to others is to live way beyond our own selfish selves. By giving love, grace, forgiveness, attention, and earthly goods, people are united in new, gracious ways. Show grace to just one person who crosses your path today. That will set you free. It will make you Christlike. It will make you sticky, iconic! It will lead to new grace-hijackings.
