Grace In Galatians

DAY 5 OF 5

Day Five: Keys to Galatians

Key Word: Freedom from the Law

This epistle shows that the believer is no longer under the law but is saved by faith alone. It has been said that Judaism was the cradle of Christianity, but also that it was very nearly its grave as well. God raised up Paul as the Moses of the Christian church to deliver them from this bondage. Galatians is the Christian’s Declaration of Independence. The power of the Holy Spirit enables the Christian to enjoy freedom within the law of love.

Key Verses: Galatians 2:20-21 and 5:1

“I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. I do not set aside the grace of God; for if righteousness comes through the law, then Christ died in vain” (Gal. 2:20-21)

“Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage.” (Gal. 5:1)

Key Chapter: Galatians 5

The impact of the truth concerning freedom is staggering: freedom must not be used “as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another” (Gal. 5:13). This chapter records the power, “Walk in the Spirit” (Gal. 5:16), and the results, “the fruit of the Spirit” (Gal. 5:22), of that freedom.

About this Plan

Grace In Galatians

Are you caught up in doing good deeds, but missing the gospel of faith? Are you feeling discouraged by faith based in works? Paul addresses this exact issue in Galatians and explores the foundational truth of the freedom of faith in Jesus Christ. Galatians offers a celebration of the freedom of grace and re-centers your focus on the law of love in God in three parts: the gospel of grace defined, the gospel of grace examined and the gospel of grace applied.
