Psalms 79:8
Psalms 79:8 English Standard Version 2016 (ESV)
Do not remember against us our former iniquities; let your compassion come speedily to meet us, for we are brought very low.
Psalms 79:8-10 The Message (MSG)
Don’t blame us for the sins of our parents. Hurry up and help us; we’re at the end of our rope. You’re famous for helping; God, give us a break. Your reputation is on the line. Pull us out of this mess, forgive us our sins— do what you’re famous for doing! Don’t let the heathen get by with their sneers: “Where’s your God? Is he out to lunch?” Go public and show the godless world that they can’t kill your servants and get by with it.
Psalms 79:8 King James Version (KJV)
O remember not against us former iniquities: Let thy tender mercies speedily prevent us: For we are brought very low.
Psalms 79:8 New American Standard Bible - NASB 1995 (NASB1995)
Do not remember the iniquities of our forefathers against us; Let Your compassion come quickly to meet us, For we are brought very low.
Psalms 79:8 New Century Version (NCV)
Don’t punish us for our past sins. Show your mercy to us soon, because we are helpless!
Psalms 79:8 American Standard Version (ASV)
Remember not against us the iniquities of our forefathers: Let thy tender mercies speedily meet us; For we are brought very low.
Psalms 79:8 New International Version (NIV)
Do not hold against us the sins of past generations; may your mercy come quickly to meet us, for we are in desperate need.
