Proverbs 5:21-22
Proverbs 5:21-23 The Message (MSG)
Mark well that GOD doesn’t miss a move you make; he’s aware of every step you take. The shadow of your sin will overtake you; you’ll find yourself stumbling all over yourself in the dark. Death is the reward of an undisciplined life; your foolish decisions trap you in a dead end.
Proverbs 5:21-22 King James Version (KJV)
For the ways of man are before the eyes of the LORD, And he pondereth all his goings. His own iniquities shall take the wicked himself, And he shall be holden with the cords of his sins.
Proverbs 5:21-22 New American Standard Bible - NASB 1995 (NASB1995)
For the ways of a man are before the eyes of the LORD, And He watches all his paths. His own iniquities will capture the wicked, And he will be held with the cords of his sin.
Proverbs 5:21-22 New Century Version (NCV)
The LORD sees everything you do, and he watches where you go. An evil man will be caught in his wicked ways; the ropes of his sins will tie him up.
Proverbs 5:21-22 American Standard Version (ASV)
For the ways of man are before the eyes of Jehovah; And he maketh level all his paths. His own iniquities shall take the wicked, And he shall be holden with the cords of his sin.
Proverbs 5:21-22 New International Version (NIV)
For your ways are in full view of the LORD, and he examines all your paths. The evil deeds of the wicked ensnare them; the cords of their sins hold them fast.
Proverbs 5:21-22 New King James Version (NKJV)
For the ways of man are before the eyes of the LORD, And He ponders all his paths. His own iniquities entrap the wicked man, And he is caught in the cords of his sin.
Proverbs 5:21-22 Amplified Bible (AMP)
For the ways of man are directly before the eyes of the LORD, And He carefully watches all of his paths [all of his comings and goings]. [2 Chr 16:9; Job 31:4; 34:21; Prov 15:3; Jer 16:17; Hos 7:2; Heb 4:13] The iniquities done by a wicked man will trap him, And he will be held with the cords of his sin.
Proverbs 5:21-22 New Living Translation (NLT)
For the LORD sees clearly what a man does, examining every path he takes. An evil man is held captive by his own sins; they are ropes that catch and hold him.
