2 Peter 3:14
2 Peter 3:14-16 The Message (MSG)
So, my dear friends, since this is what you have to look forward to, do your very best to be found living at your best, in purity and peace. Interpret our Master’s patient restraint for what it is: salvation. Our good brother Paul, who was given much wisdom in these matters, refers to this in all his letters, and has written you essentially the same thing. Some things Paul writes are difficult to understand. Irresponsible people who don’t know what they are talking about twist them every which way. They do it to the rest of the Scriptures, too, destroying themselves as they do it.
2 Peter 3:14 King James Version (KJV)
Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.
2 Peter 3:14 New American Standard Bible - NASB 1995 (NASB1995)
Therefore, beloved, since you look for these things, be diligent to be found by Him in peace, spotless and blameless
2 Peter 3:14 New Century Version (NCV)
Dear friends, since you are waiting for this to happen, do your best to be without sin and without fault. Try to be at peace with God.
2 Peter 3:14 American Standard Version (ASV)
Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for these things, give diligence that ye may be found in peace, without spot and blameless in his sight.
2 Peter 3:14 New International Version (NIV)
So then, dear friends, since you are looking forward to this, make every effort to be found spotless, blameless and at peace with him.
2 Peter 3:14 New King James Version (NKJV)
Therefore, beloved, looking forward to these things, be diligent to be found by Him in peace, without spot and blameless
2 Peter 3:14 Amplified Bible (AMP)
So, beloved, since you are looking forward to these things, be diligent and make every effort to be found by Him [at His return] spotless and blameless, in peace [that is, inwardly calm with a sense of spiritual well-being and confidence, having lived a life of obedience to Him].
2 Peter 3:14 New Living Translation (NLT)
And so, dear friends, while you are waiting for these things to happen, make every effort to be found living peaceful lives that are pure and blameless in his sight.
