Through the Bible: Exodus

DAY 11 OF 12

God’s Provision for God’s Vision

All whose hearts were stirred and whose spirits were moved came and brought their sacred offerings to the Lord. They brought all the materials needed for the Tabernacle, for the performance of its rituals, and for the sacred garments.
Exodus 35:21 (NLT)
The Lord has gifted Bezalel, Oholiab, and the other skilled craftsmen with wisdom and ability to perform any task involved in building the sanctuary. Let them construct and furnish the Tabernacle, just as the Lord has commanded.
Exodus 36:1 (NLT)

In Exodus 25-30, God gives Moses what looks like an impossible job – build the Tabernacle. The lengthy, detailed instructions on how to build it filled six chapters in Exodus! Moses was asked to endure this task on top of leading the Israelite nation which depended on him completely for daily sustenance.

However, God provides! God stirred the hearts of the Israelites to generously offer materials for the building of the Tabernacle. Amazingly, the Israelites had taken with them from Egypt the very materials that were required for construction. Among the Israelites were skilled craftsmen who were equipped to do God’s work and they were further inspired by the Holy Spirit. In the same way as the Israelites, we are called today to use the skills entrusted to us by God to build up His Church.

God gives us unique gifts and places us according to His purpose. When God calls us to do something according to His Vision, He provides all the necessary direction, resources, and ability to accomplish it.

Prayer:

Father, it is a privilege to carry out Your Vision. Thank You for providing us with what is needed. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

About this Plan

Through the Bible: Exodus

As the name suggests, the book of Exodus is about the departure of the enslaved Israelites from Egypt to the land God promised to Abraham. This is an invitation for the people to leave from bondage to freedom, to be called “My People” by God. Is there anything in life that is putting you in bondage? Do you want to be free? Join us as we journey through Exodus.
