Hebrews 13:12
Hebrews 13:12 New American Standard Bible - NASB 1995 (NASB1995)
Therefore Jesus also, that He might sanctify the people through His own blood, suffered outside the gate.
Hebrews 13:10-12 The Message (MSG)
The altar from which God gives us the gift of himself is not for exploitation by insiders who grab and loot. In the old system, the animals are killed and the bodies disposed of outside the camp. The blood is then brought inside to the altar as a sacrifice for sin. It’s the same with Jesus. He was crucified outside the city gates—that is where he poured out the sacrificial blood that was brought to God’s altar to cleanse his people.
Hebrews 13:12 King James Version (KJV)
Wherefore Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people with his own blood, suffered without the gate.
Hebrews 13:12 New Century Version (NCV)
So Jesus also suffered outside the city to make his people holy with his own blood.
Hebrews 13:12 American Standard Version (ASV)
Wherefore Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people through his own blood, suffered without the gate.
Hebrews 13:12 New International Version (NIV)
And so Jesus also suffered outside the city gate to make the people holy through his own blood.
Hebrews 13:12 New King James Version (NKJV)
Therefore Jesus also, that He might sanctify the people with His own blood, suffered outside the gate.
Hebrews 13:12 Amplified Bible (AMP)
Therefore Jesus also suffered and died outside the [city] gate so that He might sanctify and set apart for God as holy the people [who believe] through [the shedding of] His own blood.
Hebrews 13:12 New Living Translation (NLT)
So also Jesus suffered and died outside the city gates to make his people holy by means of his own blood.
