2 Timothy 3:12-13
2 Timothy 3:10-13 The Message (MSG)
You’ve been a good apprentice to me, a part of my teaching, my manner of life, direction, faith, steadiness, love, patience, troubles, sufferings—suffering along with me in all the grief I had to put up with in Antioch, Iconium, and Lystra. And you also well know that God rescued me! Anyone who wants to live all out for Christ is in for a lot of trouble; there’s no getting around it. Unscrupulous con men will continue to exploit the faith. They’re as deceived as the people they lead astray. As long as they are out there, things can only get worse.
2 Timothy 3:12-13 King James Version (KJV)
Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution. But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.
2 Timothy 3:12-13 New American Standard Bible - NASB 1995 (NASB1995)
Indeed, all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will be persecuted. But evil men and impostors will proceed from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived.
2 Timothy 3:12-13 New Century Version (NCV)
Everyone who wants to live as God desires, in Christ Jesus, will be persecuted. But people who are evil and cheat others will go from bad to worse. They will fool others, but they will also be fooling themselves.
2 Timothy 3:12-13 American Standard Version (ASV)
Yea, and all that would live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution. But evil men and impostors shall wax worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived.
2 Timothy 3:12-13 New International Version (NIV)
In fact, everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted, while evildoers and impostors will go from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived.
2 Timothy 3:12-13 New King James Version (NKJV)
Yes, and all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution. But evil men and impostors will grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived.
2 Timothy 3:12-13 Amplified Bible (AMP)
Indeed, all who delight in pursuing righteousness and are determined to live godly lives in Christ Jesus will be hunted and persecuted [because of their faith]. But evil men and impostors will go on from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived.
2 Timothy 3:12-13 New Living Translation (NLT)
Yes, and everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution. But evil people and impostors will flourish. They will deceive others and will themselves be deceived.
2 Timothy 3:12-13 The Passion Translation (TPT)
For all who choose to live godly as worshipers of Jesus, the Anointed One, will also experience persecution. But the evil men and sorcerers will progress from bad to worse, deceived and deceiving, as they lead people further from the truth.
