What God Is LikeSample

God Is Hope
The following verses and commentary were submitted by Lightgliders “Fierce Pudding Superstar” and “Gertrude Pumpkin Satchel!”
Understanding God’s character greatly impacts our whole lives–past, present, and future. Because God is forgiving, we can look to our past without shame or guilt. Because He is love, our present days are filled with purpose and friendship. And, because He is our hope, our future is secure and wonderful. To live with hope means to look to the future with the expectation that good things are coming! Because God is hope and He is with us, we can always be optimistic about our future. Read what the Bible says about hope!
Romans 8:35-39 gives us the assurance that nothing will ever separate us from the love of God. Our future with him is certain.
Romans 5:5 tells us that the hope we have in Jesus will never disappoint!
Psalm 31:24 says that our hope for tomorrow gives us strength for today!
And Hebrews 6:19 reminds us that our hope in God is a strong anchor for our soul.
Here are some things to do and think about today:
- What do you hope for in life?
- How can you spread hope to others?
- Which one of these verses can you use when hope gets hard?
About this Plan

Though God is incomprehensible, he is not unknowable. He reveals himself in three ways: • Through creation, from which his power and divine nature are on display (Romans 1:19-20) • Through the Scriptures, which he inspired to help us. (II Timothy 3:16-17) • Through Jesus Christ, who is the perfect revelation of his character (Hebrews 1:1-3) Kids known as Lightgliders submitted the following ways God has revealed himself to them.
