The Psalms

DAY 2 OF 27

DAY 2 – PSALMS 9-14

“The fool says in his heart, "There is no God."
They are corrupt, their deeds are vile;
there is no one who does good.

The Lord looks down from heaven
on all mankind to see if there are any who understand, any who seek God.”

Psalm 14:1-2

Foolishness is rejecting God, but wisdom is diligently seeking to know Him and understand His holy ways. What if He is not seeking more people who will do things for Him, rather hungry ones who will simply seek Him? We must carry a premeditated resolve in our hearts that our primary pursuit in life will always be Him so that neither valley or mountaintop can move us.

Prayer: Father, I choose to turn away from the wicked ways of the world and remember my covenant with You. I repent for any affection, devotion, and desire I’ve given to other things that have cooled my zeal for You. I reject the world’s ways of living and choose to seek and understand You. Amen.

About this Plan

The Psalms

The Psalms teach us to pray, worship, and be honest before God, expressing every joy, struggle, and question. They shape our faith, pointing to Jesus, who prayed and fulfilled them. Embracing them daily cultivates a life of worship, rooted in God’s Word. In this 27-day plan, we’ll journey through how to navigate both the trials and triumphs of life while awaiting our Lord’s return. Each day includes a short devotional, 2-3 key verses, a thought to ponder, and a closing prayer.
