Author of Salvation
Christ has “authored” our salvation. The message He authors is not only one of forgiveness and eternal life provided through His death. It is also a message of relief for the pressure points of suffering.
It’s as though Scripture is saying, “The Savior not only saves you from sin, He understands you as a person. He has come to provide the way through your suffering, just as surely as He has provided a way for your release from sin and its power. Come to Jesus, the author of eternal salvation. Since He ‘wrote the book,’ He understands every dimension and nuance of pain and suffering, and He alone has an answer to it all.”
