The Bible Pierces Darkness

As an unbeliever, Diya wanted nothing to do with Christ. And yet, Christ became the very light that saved her.

A friend invited her to church to hear her testimony. Diya went only to support her, but she kept returning. Weeks later, she surrendered her life to Jesus, just months before moving to India for work, far from her hometown in New Zealand.

Separated from her community and alone in a foreign country, darkness pressed hard against her. Learning to walk with God in isolation was overwhelming. Loneliness consumed her, and depression became so exhausting that most mornings she could hardly get out of bed.

“I was so alone. Dark thoughts consumed me, telling me that I wasn’t good enough, that I didn’t deserve to exist. And on my own, I didn’t know how to silence that voice. It was so terrifyingly painful; I longed for death just to end the anguish of living inside my own mind.”

But everything changed when she found her miracle verse through the Bible App: “The mountains and hills may crumble, but my love for you will never end; I will keep forever my promise of peace, so says the Lord who loves you.”-Isaiah 54:10 (GNT)
