Spiritual Stamina in the Time of CoronavirusSample
TALK ABOUT PERSEVERANCE!
Once upon a time, there was a man who translated the entire Bible into 3,333 hand-painted illustrations. (True story!) Unbeknownst to family and friends, he painstakingly worked on them for sixteen years in Germany. When laid side-by-side, the paintings have a total length of about one mile. The artist was Willy Wiedmann (1929-2013.) Talk about perseverance! This and all prayer plans by The Wiedmann Bible contain his artwork. The video below shows the first time the Wiedmann Bible was unfolded in the USA, with over 400 volunteers in Washington, D.C.
It's especially challenging to motivate ourselves at work, at home, or even while we worship in the time of Coronavirus. Willy Wiedmann himself experienced health challenges that almost kept him from finishing his mission. He persevered because his spiritual stamina was fueled by God as he studied the written word of the Bible to paint it. The apostle Paul persevered persecution, many arrests, imprisonment, and being shipwrecked. Jesus endured opposition and the cross, persevering to fulfill His mission to save us and give us eternal life.
We all need spiritual stamina, especially now, in the time of Coronavirus. You can develop and build up spiritual endurance by being in His word, by praying, by trusting in faith. The more you do this, the more spiritual stamina you'll have to accomplish the work God has laid out for you. Believe that you can do this! Start building your spiritual muscle today! Find out what fuels your spiritual stamina the most and use it to overcome any critical situation in your life, in the time of Coronavirus and any other time.
We hope that this devotional has motivated and inspired you. The Wiedmann Bible team is routing for you as you build your spiritual stamina!
