God’s Role, and Our Role 

God’s healing power is evident throughout the Bible. It was fully manifested through the ministry of Jesus as He walked among us, and Jesus’ atoning death and resurrection has opened the way of healing to all of us who trust in Him. He has fulfilled His part of the healing process, and continues to act each day in the lives of His children. God’s job is to perform His word in His way, His wisdom, and His timing—for His glory.

Your job is to saturate your mind and heart with the promises found in His Word—to build up your faith by believing and standing on these promises. Go through the Bible and take note of the times God reached down and miraculously healed people—physically, emotionally, or spiritually. Take note of the responses and the faith of those people (or their friends!). How can you apply the lessons you learn in these stories to your own journey of healing?

The truth is, we will never understand God’s ways completely. His ways and thoughts are higher than ours! However, we can confidently stake our claim on the promises found in His Word, knowing that He always tells us the truth about Himself and about us. Today, take heart, wherever you are in your healing journey, by knowing that God loves you and has the best in store for you. He works all things together for His glory and our good! Trust Him today, and know that your healing is coming!
