7 Habits To Develop Spiritual Growth

Dia 3 de 7

Persevere in prayer! (Habit #3)

When you wake up, who is the first person you speak to?

Perhaps the first person who has the pleasure of hearing you is the Lord during your prayer time...and that’s wonderful!

I believe that prayer is an action of great value in God’s eyes. Why?

Because it’s what connects us to Him. Through prayer, we speak to Him and He answers us. Through prayer, you and God communicate..

The Bible says, “Devote yourselves to prayer with an alert mind and a thankful heart.” (Colossians 4:2)

It also says, “Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere. And pray for me, too. Ask God to give me the right words so I can boldly explain God’s mysterious plan that the Good News is for Jews and Gentiles alike.” (Ephesians 6:18-19)

Amen! Please ask God to give me the right words...so that I too can boldly explain God’s Good News.

But let’s go back to you...persevere in prayer, yes, because it’s not always easy to be dedicated to it, and sometimes, you may feel like nothing is happening…

In reality, prayer is certainly invisible...but oh, how powerful it is! It accompanies the new believer in Christ just as well as the seasoned or older believer in his/her last breaths. Prayer is the breath that connects you to the Kingdom of God. This breath may be minimal sometimes, but take care to always maintain it.

This is habit #3: “Pray every day.”

Yes, prayer is the vital breath that accompanies you here on Earth and into eternity.

Would you like to pray for a moment with me?...“Lord, thank You for the prayer that enables me to communicate and to stay in communion with You. I choose to pray to You every day, entrusting to You what I’m going through as well as sharing my joys and successes with You. Place within me a mind that’s ready and willing to seek You every morning. All glory to Your name! In Jesus’s name, amen.”

Thanks for existing!
