Something New

DAY 4 OF 6

New vision

We already saw that God affirms His people that He’s doing something new and that it won’t compare to what He did in the past. After that, He asks something very important and relevant for us in these times: ‘’Don’t you see? Don’t you have eyes to see what I’m doing?’’ God is bringing a new vision.

In these times, we have to see with fresh eyes, removing certain filters from our vision and faith. Let’s make the decision of removing filters of bitterness, depression and pain. But most of all, what about removing the filters of past victories because God has new victories for us? What about removing the filters of past blessings because He wants to bless us at another level? What about removing the filters of God’s miraculous past works because He wants to do something new?

Hellen Keller said: “The eyes’ function is sight, but the heart's function is vision.’’ Let’s seek a new vision, with eyes to see what He is doing.

What do you see when you close your eyes in this season? The pandemic and the crises we’ve been facing these last years have caused us to only see that which we can perceive with open eyes. It is so easy to focus on the present and on what you have in front of you: your pain, your challenges, your needs. But faith allows for a new vision to be born.

When you start seeing with your eyes closed, you see the possibilities that exist in God. What have you stopped seeing with eyes closed? Have you stopped dreaming? Have you stopped believing God? Have you stopped declaring that He can do a lot more than we can ask for and imagine, according to the power that lives and works in us? Have you let your pain, your circumstance, your reality, the political crisis or the economic situation limit you to only see with open eyes and stop believing what is possible with a Kingdom vision provided by God?

God is opening our eyes for us to live with a new vision. He’s not necessarily opening your physical eyes, but the eyes of your heart for you to be able to see what He sees and what He is doing. 1 Corinthians 2:9 says that no eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared. What He has prepared for us is a new, fresh and unique vision.

Prayer: Father, give me the eyes to see, the ears to hear and the mind to imagine what you have prepared for me this season. Thank you for giving me a new vision. Give me fresh eyes to see my family, fresh eyes to see my economy, fresh eyes to see my purpose, fresh eyes to see what you are doing. Amen.
