Priorities
Have you ever struggled to get your priorities straight? You’re not alone. It seems like the busier we get, the more difficult it is to balance family, work, sports, and everything else that life throws our way.
What about God and money? Have you ever thought about whether you prioritize one over the other? Jesus talked about this in His Sermon on the Mount, saying, “Seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.” In other words, culture tells you to worry about your food, house, clothes, and financial success. God says to focus on Him and let the ultimate provider work out everything else.
About the dangers of wrongly prioritizing, N.T. Wright wrote, “the same is true with money, which first enslaves people and then laughs at them as it fails to provide the happiness it promised. Not that poverty by itself brings happiness, either; let’s not have any romantic notions about that. But the love of money is the thing to beware of. When you love something or someone, you make sacrifices for them. When you find yourself making a sacrifice of something else in your life, simply so that you can follow where money is beckoning you, regard that as a danger signal.”
The root issue is contentment and whether or not we believe that God will provide what we need. Take a moment to examine your relationship with money and with God. Do you need to change your priorities? If so, how? Ask God to guide you as you become the person He created you to be.

About this Plan
If we’re honest, some things we read in the Bible leave us shaking our heads. Is it really even possible to sincerely love people who are different from us? Can we really be content with what we have? How about prayer? Does God really hear us? During this study, we’re going to talk about how things that can seem so impossible to us are completely possible with God. Really!
