Romans 6:2
Romans 6:1-3 The Message (MSG)
So what do we do? Keep on sinning so God can keep on forgiving? I should hope not! If we’ve left the country where sin is sovereign, how can we still live in our old house there? Or didn’t you realize we packed up and left there for good? That is what happened in baptism. When we went under the water, we left the old country of sin behind; when we came up out of the water, we entered into the new country of grace—a new life in a new land!
Romans 6:2 American Standard Version (ASV)
God forbid. We who died to sin, how shall we any longer live therein?
Romans 6:2 King James Version (KJV)
God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?
Romans 6:2 New American Standard Bible - NASB 1995 (NASB1995)
May it never be! How shall we who died to sin still live in it?
Romans 6:2 New Century Version (NCV)
No! We died to our old sinful lives, so how can we continue living with sin?
Romans 6:2 New International Version (NIV)
By no means! We are those who have died to sin; how can we live in it any longer?
Romans 6:2 New King James Version (NKJV)
Certainly not! How shall we who died to sin live any longer in it?
Romans 6:2 Amplified Bible (AMP)
Certainly not! How can we, the very ones who died to sin, continue to live in it any longer?
Romans 6:2 New Living Translation (NLT)
Of course not! Since we have died to sin, how can we continue to live in it?
