Romans 3:3
Romans 3:2-6 The Message (MSG)
First, there’s the matter of being put in charge of writing down and caring for God’s revelation, these Holy Scriptures. So, what if, in the course of doing that, some of those Jews abandoned their post? God didn’t abandon them. Do you think their faithlessness cancels out his faithfulness? Not on your life! Depend on it: God keeps his word even when the whole world is lying through its teeth. Scripture says the same: Your words stand fast and true; Rejection doesn’t faze you. But if our wrongdoing only underlines and confirms God’s rightdoing, shouldn’t we be commended for helping out? Since our lies don’t even make a dent in his truth, isn’t it wrong of God to back us to the wall and hold us to our word? These questions come up. The answer to such questions is no, a most emphatic No! How else would things ever get straightened out if God didn’t do the straightening?
Romans 3:3 King James Version (KJV)
For what if some did not believe? shall their unbelief make the faith of God without effect?
Romans 3:3 New American Standard Bible - NASB 1995 (NASB1995)
What then? If some did not believe, their unbelief will not nullify the faithfulness of God, will it?
Romans 3:3 New Century Version (NCV)
If some Jews were not faithful to him, will that stop God from doing what he promised?
Romans 3:3 American Standard Version (ASV)
For what if some were without faith? shall their want of faith make of none effect the faithfulness of God?
Romans 3:3 New International Version (NIV)
What if some were unfaithful? Will their unfaithfulness nullify God’s faithfulness?
Romans 3:3 New King James Version (NKJV)
For what if some did not believe? Will their unbelief make the faithfulness of God without effect?
Romans 3:3 Amplified Bible (AMP)
What then? If some did not believe or were unfaithful [to God], their lack of belief will not nullify and make invalid the faithfulness of God and His word, will it?
Romans 3:3 New Living Translation (NLT)
True, some of them were unfaithful; but just because they were unfaithful, does that mean God will be unfaithful?
