You have delivered me from the attacks of the people; you have made me the head of nations. People I did not know now serve me, foreigners cower before me; as soon as they hear of me, they obey me. They all lose heart; they come trembling from their strongholds.

You delivered me from strife with the people; you made me the head of the nations; people whom I had not known served me. As soon as they heard of me they obeyed me; foreigners came cringing to me. Foreigners lost heart and came trembling out of their fortresses.

You gave me victory over my accusers. You appointed me ruler over nations; people I don’t even know now serve me. As soon as they hear of me, they submit; foreign nations cringe before me. They all lose their courage and come trembling from their strongholds.

You have freed me from the feuds among the people; you have appointed me the head of nations;  a people I had not known serve me.  Foreigners submit to me cringing; as soon as they hear they obey me.  Foreigners lose heart and come trembling from their fortifications.

Thou hast delivered me from the strivings of the people; And thou hast made me the head of the heathen: A people whom I have not known shall serve me. As soon as they hear of me, they shall obey me: The strangers shall submit themselves unto me. The strangers shall fade away, And be afraid out of their close places.

You rescued me from a squabbling people; you made me a leader of nations. People I’d never heard of served me; the moment they got wind of me they listened. The foreign devils gave up; they came on their bellies, crawling from their hideouts.

¶You have rescued me from the contentions of the people; You have placed me as head of the nations; A people whom I have not known serve me. As soon as they hear, they obey me; Foreigners pretend to obey me. Foreigners lose heart, And come trembling out of their fortresses.

You rescue me from a hostile army; you make me a leader of nations; people over whom I had no authority are now my subjects. When they hear of my exploits, they submit to me. Foreigners are powerless before me; foreigners lose their courage; they shake with fear as they leave their strongholds.
