Galatians 3:3
Galatians 3:3 New Century Version (NCV)
You began your life in Christ by the Spirit. Now are you trying to make it complete by your own power? That is foolish.
Galatians 3:3 American Standard Version (ASV)
Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now perfected in the flesh?
Galatians 3:3 Amplified Bible (AMP)
Are you so foolish and senseless? Having begun [your new life by faith] with the Spirit, are you now being perfected and reaching spiritual maturity by the flesh [that is, by your own works and efforts to keep the Law]?
Galatians 3:3 The Passion Translation (TPT)
Your new life began when the Holy Spirit gave you a new birth. Why then would you so foolishly turn from living in the Spirit by trying to finish by your own works?
Galatians 3:2-4 The Message (MSG)
Let me put this question to you: How did your new life begin? Was it by working your heads off to please God? Or was it by responding to God’s Message to you? Are you going to continue this craziness? For only crazy people would think they could complete by their own efforts what was begun by God. If you weren’t smart enough or strong enough to begin it, how do you suppose you could perfect it? Did you go through this whole painful learning process for nothing? It is not yet a total loss, but it certainly will be if you keep this up!
Galatians 3:3 King James Version (KJV)
Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?
Galatians 3:3 New American Standard Bible - NASB 1995 (NASB1995)
Are you so foolish? Having begun by the Spirit, are you now being perfected by the flesh?
Galatians 3:3 New International Version (NIV)
Are you so foolish? After beginning by means of the Spirit, are you now trying to finish by means of the flesh?
Galatians 3:3 New King James Version (NKJV)
Are you so foolish? Having begun in the Spirit, are you now being made perfect by the flesh?
