1 Corinthians 15:14
1 Corinthians 15:12-15 The Message (MSG)
Now, let me ask you something profound yet troubling. If you became believers because you trusted the proclamation that Christ is alive, risen from the dead, how can you let people say that there is no such thing as a resurrection? If there’s no resurrection, there’s no living Christ. And face it—if there’s no resurrection for Christ, everything we’ve told you is smoke and mirrors, and everything you’ve staked your life on is smoke and mirrors. Not only that, but we would be guilty of telling a string of barefaced lies about God, all these affidavits we passed on to you verifying that God raised up Christ—sheer fabrications, if there’s no resurrection.
1 Corinthians 15:14 King James Version (KJV)
and if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain.
1 Corinthians 15:14 New American Standard Bible - NASB 1995 (NASB1995)
and if Christ has not been raised, then our preaching is vain, your faith also is vain.
1 Corinthians 15:14 New Century Version (NCV)
And if Christ has not been raised, then our preaching is worth nothing, and your faith is worth nothing.
1 Corinthians 15:14 American Standard Version (ASV)
and if Christ hath not been raised, then is our preaching vain, your faith also is vain.
1 Corinthians 15:14 New International Version (NIV)
And if Christ has not been raised, our preaching is useless and so is your faith.
1 Corinthians 15:14 New King James Version (NKJV)
And if Christ is not risen, then our preaching is empty and your faith is also empty.
1 Corinthians 15:14 Amplified Bible (AMP)
and if Christ has not been raised, then our preaching is vain [useless, amounting to nothing], and your faith is also vain [imaginary, unfounded, devoid of value and benefit—not based on truth].
1 Corinthians 15:14 New Living Translation (NLT)
And if Christ has not been raised, then all our preaching is useless, and your faith is useless.
