Psalm 121 reminds us to lift our eyes to the mountains, from where our help comes—the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth. The psalmist’s words echo a deep assurance that God watches over us, guiding and protecting us every step of the way. In 2 Thessalonians 2, Paul warns believers about future trials but encourages them to stand firm, rooted in God’s truth. The Holy Spirit enables us to lift our eyes to God amid trials, helping us find strength in His presence and trust in His promises.
When we look to God instead of our problems, we gain a new perspective. The Spirit helps us focus on God’s power and faithfulness, strengthening our hearts to remain steady. As we lift our eyes, we’re reminded that God is our ever-present help, guiding us even in the darkest valleys.
Today, invite the Holy Spirit to help you lift your eyes from your worries to God’s greatness. Pray for a heart that trusts in His protection and guidance. May you find peace and strength, knowing that the One who watches over you never sleeps or grows weary.
